Adora (아도라), a talented producer with a unique expressive ability, has played a significant role in the music career of BTS for the past five years. Adora debuted as an official producer through the ‘2016 Next New Creator’ audition project organized by Big Hit Entertainment (now known as HYBE) and has been involved in BTS’s music projects since then. From BTS’s 2nd full album “WINGS” in 2016 to their 4th full album “Map of the Soul: 7” in 2020, Adora participated in the songwriting and composition of BTS albums, showcasing their skills as a producer.
In an interview with Daily Sports, Adora shared their reflections on BTS’s 10th debut anniversary. Adora recalled, “When I joined in 2016, BTS was already a big artist, so I had high expectations that I would be in the position I am now.” Adora was only 20 years old at that time. They mentioned, “I didn’t realize it when I first started working. But as the songs I worked on for BTS were released and received positive responses, I felt like I was truly working. Seeing my parents delighted and searching for the albums made me even happier and gave me a greater sense of accomplishment.”
For Adora, working with BTS and their music was a joy in itself. They expressed, “Recording with the members was always enjoyable and a continuous learning experience.” Adora revealed, “There was one time when I had to record BTS alone for the first time. They were all so talented that the recording finished quickly. However, when I received feedback from the company, they said I needed to redo the directing from the beginning. It was a big disappointment for me.” This experience made Adora realize the need to learn and grow further as a producer.
Adora spent half of BTS’s 10-year journey together, which was five years. Adora commented, “Ten years is not a short period of time, so I think it’s truly remarkable. I always approached music projects with a learning attitude and made efforts not to become a hindrance on BTS’s path.”
Adora also contributed to individual albums of BTS members, such as J-Hope’s “Chicken Noodle Soup,” RM’s “Forever Rain,” and V’s “Sweet Night,” earning recognition for their skills. They also expanded their capabilities by participating in songs for artists under HYBE Music, including Tomorrow X Together, GFriend from Source Music, and from Pledis Entertainment’s fromis_9.
Before becoming a producer, Adora, who graduated from Seoul School of Performing Arts, possesses exceptional vocal abilities. In November 2021, Adora officially debuted as a singer and even participated as a chorus in Suga’s new release. Adora expressed gratitude, saying, “(Suga) thanked me for doing the album chorus well and even took the time to buy me a meal. I was really grateful for the helpful advice and conversations.”
Lastly, Adora congratulated BTS on their 10th debut anniversary and expressed their gratitude for being able to be part of their musical history. They stated, “Congratulations on BTS’s 10th debut anniversary. I feel proud and grateful that I could contribute even a little to the path they have walked.”
