On June 3rd, singer AleXa (알렉사) revealed a concept film for her upcoming digital single. The 35-second film showcases AleXa’s mysterious narration and diverse visuals, along with the announcement of her new song titled “Juliet.”
The vintage and gritty footage begins with AleXa walking in an unfamiliar place, followed by a scene featuring a clock tower and what appears to be a flashback to past memories. AleXa is seen strolling through a city with dazzling night views, running along the beach, and flashing a bright smile. The film then returns to the scene of AleXa gazing at the clock tower.
The sensual and poetic mood of the concept film is enhanced by AleXa’s seemingly reciting English narration, adding depth to the visuals. The phrase “they say time heals all wounds, but the scars remain” leaves a profound impression, raising anticipation for the message and emotions AleXa will convey in her new song.
Debuting in October 2019 with the single “Bomb,” AleXa gained attention as the first K-pop artist with a “metaverse AI” concept and outstanding talent. She has since released songs like “VILLAIN,” “XTRA,” “TATTO,” and “Back in Vogue,” establishing her unique universe.
Following her victory on NBC’s large-scale competition program “American Song Contest” last year, AleXa has been expanding her activities both domestically and internationally. She recently signed a US management contract with Intertwine Music, a music label led by Eshy Gazit, who previously managed BTS and MONSTA X.
AleXa’s new digital single “Juliet” will be released worldwide at 12 PM on June 9th.
