South Korean singer B.I (김한빈), former iKON member, has made a triumphant comeback with his second full-length album, ‘TO DIE FOR.’ According to global music streaming platform iTunes on November 2nd, the double title tracks ‘Fearless (Dare to Love) (feat. BIG Naughty)’ and ‘Die for love (feat. Jessi)’ from the album released a day earlier topped the singles charts in 12 different regions.
“Dare to Love” reached the top 10 in a total of 16 regions, including Chile, Colombia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Similarly, “Die for love” showcased its global power by reaching the top 10 in 13 regions, including Romania and Taiwan. Another track from the album, “The Island of Misfit Toys,” also entered 11 major single charts.
Moreover, “TO DIE FOR” has been demonstrating its presence on top album charts in 15 regions, including South Korea and Thailand.
Additionally, B.I’s latest songs made an impressive debut on the Melon, a leading music platform in South Korea, with all nine tracks entering the weekly chart within one week of release. Even after four weeks, “Dare to Love” secured the 32nd position, “Die for love” claimed the 62nd position, and other tracks such as “Tsunami,” “The Island of Misfit Toys,” and “Groovin” succeeded in charting.
Meanwhile, BI was sentenced to three years in prison with four years of probation in September last year after being charged with purchasing marijuana and the drug LSD in 2016. He left his group, iKON, in 2019 following the drug controversy.
