BLACKPINK member Jennie had to interrupt a performance due to health issues.
On 11th June, YG Entertainment, the agency representing BLACKPINK, announced through the fan community platform Weverse that “During the BLACKPINK World Tour [Born Pink] in Melbourne, Jennie was unable to continue the stage until the end due to health condition.”
According to the agency, Jennie expressed her determination to complete the performance. However, upon receiving advice from medical staff on-site, the agency promptly took measures for Jennie to have sufficient rest and stability.
It was also conveyed that Jennie feels sorry for not being able to be with the fans until the end and that she intends to recover quickly.
YG Entertainment stated, “We apologize to all the fans who have been supporting BLACKPINK and those who attended the event. We ask for your understanding. We will do our best to support Jennie in recovering her health as soon as possible.”
BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) is currently in the midst of their largest-scale K-pop girl group world tour, “BLACKPINK World Tour [Born Pink],” which attracts approximately 1.5 million fans.
Previously, Jisoo had to miss the BLACKPINK World Tour performance held at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan on the 3rd and 4th June due to testing positive for COVID-19.
