According to the reports, it has been revealed that J-Hope (29), a member of the group BTS, has been selected as an instructor in the army’s basic training unit.
Following Jin (30), who enlisted before him and became an instructor in the 5th Infantry Division’s basic training unit in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province, J-Hope becomes the second BTS member to take on this role.
On the 31st, an army official stated, “It is true that J-Hope has been selected as an instructor in the basic training unit after going through evaluations. Once he completes the required training and certification process, he will assume the duties of an instructor.”
J-Hope recently completed his basic military training as a trainee in the 23-5th class of the 36th Infantry Division’s basic training unit in Wonju, Gangwon Province, on the 24th of last month, and was promoted to the rank of private.
Furthermore, J-Hope will continue his military service as an instructor in the 36th Infantry Division until his discharge on October 17th next year.
Upon his enlistment in the 36th Infantry Division’s training unit on the 18th of last month, J-Hope received the number one designation among the trainees and underwent a five-week training program that included military etiquette, weapon familiarization, marksmanship, chemical warfare, individual combat skills, and a 20km march, focusing on developing the necessary qualities of a soldier.
