Actor Cha Seowon (차서원), who announced his marriage to Uhm Hyun-kyung (엄현경) and their upcoming child, shared his feelings about the double celebration.
On June 5th, Cha Seo-won posted on his fan cafe, “Although I still have a lot to learn, just the thought of becoming the head of a family makes me feel a change in my attitude towards life.”
Uhm Hyun-kyung and Cha Seo-won met while working on the MBC drama “The Second Husband” and developed a romantic relationship after the show ended. They quietly nurtured their love, promised to marry, and confirmed their pregnancy during this time. The couple is now awaiting the birth of their child, surrounded by the blessings of family and friends.
Cha Seo-won is currently serving in the military, so the wedding ceremony is planned for May next year, after his discharge. The couple surprised everyone by announcing their marriage and pregnancy simultaneously, without any prior dating rumors.

While serving, Cha Seo-won shared, “I feel both physically and mentally healthier while fulfilling my national defense duties.” He added, “I have found a good partner and life companion.”
He continued, “She always makes me laugh and brings me happiness, so I want to make her happy as well. We started with a good impression and now we’re thinking about marriage.” Cha Seo-won proudly expressed his strong affection for Uhm Hyun-kyung.
Cha Seo-won also said, “A precious blessing in the form of a child has come to us. Although I still have a lot to learn, just the thought of becoming the head of a family makes me feel a change in my attitude towards life.” He promised, “I will continue to work hard to be a good actor, thanks to the unconditional love I have received.”
He emphasized, “As the head of a family, I will do my best to love and live well. I will strive to be a good person.”
Through their agencies, Yeojin Entertainment and Namoo Actors, the couple said, “We are waiting for this precious life with a cautious yet grateful heart. We want to share the blessings that have come to us quietly and devoutly.” They added, “We ask for your warm support and encouragement.”
