Girl group (G)I-DLE has secured their 8th win on music shows.
On June 4th, (G)I-DLE (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) took first place on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo,’ wrapping up their three-week music show promotions. With this win, the group achieved a total of eight trophies and expressed their gratitude to their fans, Neverland, saying, “Thank you so much, Neverland, for giving us first place on our last show. We will work harder and return quickly with great songs.”
(G)I-DLE made a comeback on May 15th with their new album ‘I feel.’ Upon release, the album topped the iTunes Top Album charts in 18 regions, including Singapore, Turkey, Mexico, and Thailand, solidifying their position as a global group. As of May 21st, the album’s initial sales surpassed 1,163,300 copies, achieving a career high and ranking 4th among girl groups’ all-time initial sales.
The title track ‘Queencard’ not only received explosive reactions from fans both domestically and internationally but also achieved an ‘all-kill’ on music charts, taking first place on Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Flo. Furthermore, the music video for ‘Queencard’ surpassed 100 million views, truly showcasing the (G)I-DLE syndrome.
(G)I-DLE will kick off their second world tour, ‘2023 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [I am FREE-TY] IN SEOUL,’ on June 17th and 18th at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul.
