In a recent development, the legal representative of a female nurse officer in her 20s, referred to as A, who is under suspicion for leaving her workplace without permission to see BTS member Jin, has provided a statement. According to A’s legal representative, on the day in question, Jin’s colleague and nurse officer B, who is assigned to the recruit training command, requested A’s assistance in administering vaccinations. Due to internal circumstances within their division, it was challenging to arrange vaccination support, so they sought cooperation from A, who works at a nearby unit.
During the incident, the situation required the quick administration of three doses of injections per trainee, and everyone involved was wearing masks. Given these circumstances, A was unable to differentiate Jin from the other trainees. It should be noted that A had reported the situation verbally and received approval from the duty officer, absolving her of disciplinary action.
A is being accused of using her own vehicle, after conducting a simulated run with B, who is assigned to the 5th Division, to travel approximately 30 minutes and administer the second round of vaccinations for viral hemorrhagic fever to Jin at the recruit training command. Upon returning to her duty at the 28th Division, A reportedly mentioned that Jin was in considerable pain. In response to these allegations, a joint investigation was conducted by the 28th Division, 5th Division, and 5th Corps Military Police, which revealed that A had not met Jin as she claimed during her unauthorized departure. Consequently, the military prosecution launched an investigation, temporarily suspending the disciplinary committee proceedings.
Jin, a member of the popular group BTS, enlisted in the military in December last year and is currently serving as an instructor at the recruit training command of the 5th Division.
