Astro’s agency, Fantagio, recently addressed Astro’s official fan cafe with a post titled “Fantagio Here.” They expressed their gratitude to the fans, known as Arohas, for their continuous support.
Fantagio explained that the following message was directly from Moonbin’s mother and clarified that it would be temporarily posted on the fan cafe to provide Arohas with a comfortable space for a certain period.
In her letter, Moonbin’s mother began by saying, “Hello, I am Bin’s mother.” She expressed sincere thanks to the fans who had sent letters, flowers, and heartfelt support despite the long distance. She also extended her gratitude to the fans who commemorated and mourned Moonbin’s passing, wishing them comfort and good health.
Moonbin’s mother revealed her reason for writing the article, stating, “I know that everyone has a heart to mourn and miss my son, but I have witnessed the indiscriminate production of baseless rumors in certain online communities.” She further added, “As his mother, it is extremely difficult for me to see such rumors, which are not true, and I worry that many people may be hurt and that the genuine feelings of the fans who long for our son might also be affected.”
Appealing to others, Moonbin’s mother earnestly requested, “I hope that these rumors, which have not been confirmed, and any further production of unfounded rumors, will not cause harm to my son’s reputation and prevent anyone else from being hurt.” She concluded her message by saying, “I hope that the fans, who were loved so dearly by Bin, will not suffer from aching hearts. Sincerely, thank you all.”
Earlier, on April 19, When Moonbin suddenly passed away at the age of 25, various rumors circulated on YouTube and online communities, involving a will, autograph, autopsy, conflicts among the members, and family relationships.
Some netizens raised concerns and became displeased with the dissemination of fake news about the deceased in pursuit of views.
Moonbin’s memorial space, initially established at the agency’s office, has been relocated to Namhansanseong Provincial Park and will be operated in the long term.
