Amidst the attention garnered by BLACKPINK’s Jennie for her daily activities, curiosity about the price of the dress she showcased at the Cannes Film Festival has grown.
On the 26th, the YouTube channel ‘IHQ Babayo’ (@ihq_babayo) released an episode of ‘Too Much Talker,’ where they focused on BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who drew attention at the Cannes 2023 International Film Festival.
Jennie attended the red carpet event and after-party for the premiere of the US HBO drama ‘The Idol’ on the 22nd at the 76th Cannes International Film Festival (local time).
Hwang Young-jin asked, “She conquered Cannes with three dresses. Is that really true?” and journalist Choi Jung-ah explained, “She wore a luxury brand C’s dress before the world premiere screening. Jennie personally chose the dress. It was also her idea to lower the mesh part that wraps around the shoulders and create an off-shoulder style.”
He said, “The price of the black headband worn by Jennie from brand C is 1.17 million won, and the three rings she wore cost approximately 36 million won. The shoes are in the range of 1 million won. The price of the dress is unknown, and that’s the scariest thing. We can’t know how much it is. It’s immeasurable.”
He continued, “Excluding the dress, the accessories alone cost over 40 million won, so we can say she showcased extremely luxurious fashion. The after-party also gathered tremendous attention.”
Regarding Jennie’s appearance in a casual outfit at the time, journalist Choi said, “The skirt was very high-waisted. It was a revealing one-piece dress that went up to the thighs. Because it’s Jennie, she received praise for pulling it off stylishly.”
