Yoo Hee-yeol (유희열), the leader of the entertainment company Antenna (안테나), has bought back shares and returned as the second-largest shareholder, focusing more on management.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service’s electronic disclosure system on the 9th, Yoo Hee-yeol, the representative of Antenna, purchased 2,786 shares, equivalent to 21.37% of Antenna’s stake, for approximately 3.2 billion won on the 2nd.
Kakao Entertainment (카카오), which previously owned 100% of Antenna’s stock, saw its stake decrease to 57.93% (7,553 shares), while Yoo Hee-yeol became the second-largest shareholder with a 21.37% stake. The remaining 20.7% was owned by a third party.
Previously, in May 2021, Kakao Entertainment acquired a 100% stake in Antenna, including Yoo Hee-yeol’s 19% stake, for around 10 billion won. Yoo Hee-yeol, after a two-year absence, will return as the second-largest shareholder and exert more effort in management.
Antenna currently includes broadcasters Yoo Jae-suk (유재석) and singer Lee Hyori (이효리), as well as artists such as Lee Ji-hyung, Jeong Seung-hwan, Lucid Fall, Kwon Jin-ah and former Lovelyz member Mijoo.
